Today only walls remain, but there is a lot of information on the baths and artists impressions of what they would have looked like many years ago.
The Belogradchik Rocks are a stunning natural rock formation in northwestern Bulgaria close to the town of the same name. The beautiful rock formations often have interesting shapes and there are many legends associated with them. Another popular natural attraction is the Seven Rila Lakes. These glacial lakes sit in the Rila Mountains, each at a different elevation and each with their own unique characteristics. It’s worth a trip to the lakes to see their incredible beauty.
The Cherven Fortress in northeastern Bulgaria was once an important economic and military centre built during the second Bulgarian Empire between the 12th and 14th centuries. Today the ruins are an interesting place to visit; the modern day town of Cherven is close by.
