Orlando is located in the centre of the state of Florida and is one of the worlds top tourist destinations attracting millions of visitors from all over the world each year. Most come for the incredible theme parks that have been built across the area.
The most famous theme park in Orlando is the Walt Disney World resort. The resort spans a huge area (47 square miles) and includes 4 theme parks 2 water parks and a nighttime entertainment complex as well as shopping areas and the “Wide World of Sports Complex”. The theme parks include Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom and provide fun for all the family.
Universal Studios Orlando is a theme park that takes visitors into the movies; their newest attraction explores the world of Harry Potter, including a complete village of Hogsmeade. Other attractions include Transformers 3D ride, Spiderman 3D, Jurassic Park and several movie themed roller coasters and shows to enjoy.
Another top park is SeaWorld Orlando. The park is most well known for its shows, which include the world famous Orca Whale shows at the Shamu Stadium and its Sea Lion shows. The park is home to many other animals including Polar Bears, Beluga Whales, Walruses, and Dolphins. The park also offers some of the world’s best roller coasters and at the Sharks Underwater Grill guests can eat while watching sharks swim by the viewing glass.
Orlando is also a perfect location for golf lovers, with over 170 courses to choose from and several golf academies there is something for golfers of all skill levels in Orlando. Many of these courses like the pretty Hunters Creek Golf Club and the Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club are just minutes away from the Disney world resort.
Behind the theme parks and attractions, Orlando also offers fantastic shopping and nightlife. There are several malls surrounding the Disney area including the Mall at Millenia and the Florida Mall, visitors will enjoy high quality stores and as the sun goes down visitors can enjoy some of Orlando’s fantastic nightlife with a host of entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
