A Travel Guide to Marbella
Marbella is a municipality located on the Costa del Sol in Andalucia. The area sits within the famous Malaga province and is one of Spain’s most popular destinations. Marbella location is ideally situated to explore the surrounding area and is also close to Gibraltar.
The Marbella area is well known by golfers and has many courses in the surrounding area. The courses are set in beautiful locations, many with views out to sea. Great care and attention is given to the courses to ensure they are always in pristine condition. Those with children might prefer the Adventure Mini-Golf course in Fuengirola.
Marbella has several amusement parks and water parks to enjoy. The Funny Beach amusement park is located right on the beach and offers Karting and Motorcycling lessons to children, a Formula 1 simulator and bouncy castles. Visitors can enjoy the beach and on the water there are Parasailing, Jet Ski’s, Banana Boats and Wakeboarding to enjoy.
The Isla Magica Park offers several themed areas to explore, with roller coasters, rafting, boat rides and the LagoBola, where visitors are sent onto the water in giant plastic balls. There are shows to enjoy, shops, restaurants and a games area, with arcade games and other amusements.
In Gibraltar, only a short distance away, visitors can enjoy the Dolphin Safari. There is a high success rate for spotting dolphins here, and most visitors will get to see the animals up close. Killer Whales have also been spotted in the area and the boat gets as close as possible to the animals. Larger whales have been spotted though this is a rare event.
Marbella has almost 30km of stunning coastline. With 24 beaches to choose from there is something for everyone in Marbella. Many beaches offer parasols and sun loungers and many have water sports facilities for those looking for a more active trip to the beach.
